Medium Lotus

Medium lotus stand about 2 to 4 feet tall. That is tall enough to notice from across the yard and small enough for a large patio container, a small pond or one corner of a bigger water garden. Through the summer they hold their flowers above the leaves, followed by the seed pods lotus are known for.

Plan on a container 16 to 30 inches across, in full sun, with 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once the plant is established; a new tuber starts under 2 to 4 inches. Some medium lotus stay shorter in a smaller pot or grow taller in a bigger one, and those also appear on Dwarf & Small Lotus or Large Pond Lotus, so check each listing's height. Our lotus planting instructions cover potting, feeding and depth. Lotus ship as dormant bare root tubers in spring, with flat $18 shipping however many you order.
