Depending on your critter, we have the pond pest deterrent. If neighborhood raccoons, foxes, egrets, herons, cats, owls, or dogs are lurking, build your pond at least five-foot deep with caves or crates where fish can hide and then protect the top with netting. You might even want to create a garlic spray for your landscaped edges to dissuade snakes from joining the party, too. Of course, this floating alligator might fool one or two eaters (or the grandkids)-- for about ten minutes.
