Chagoi

If you want a fish with personality, look no further than the basic Chagoi! It is commonly accepted that Chagoi Koi tend to be the friendliest of the koi classifications because it is the most aggressive at feeding time and almost always the first fish to become hand-tame. They are noted for two distinct qualities: their capacity to grow very large Chagoi and their extreme friendliness.

Introducing a Chagoi to a pond full of nervous Koi has a calming effect, speeding up the hand-feeding training process. The color of Chagoi can vary from saffron through reddish brown to almost black, yet the paler the Koi the more highly it's valued. High quality, blemish-free scale reticulation is a requirement. Gin-Rin Chagoi are also finding favor.

On a weekly basis (every Saturday) we update our inventory lists and quantities to reflect current stock. However, as we have shipments arriving from Japan as well as customers coming in and buying every day of the week, availability may vary. Once you contact us, we will check the availability and reserve your fish, otherwise these fish are on a first come, first serve basis. Also, please note that the Images on this page are intended only to give you a visual representation of what the breed generally looks like and are not pictures of the koi you are purchasing. we have way too many to choose from and updating these constantly is not realistic.
