Dosing Instructions

Standard Dose

Add CyroPro™ at the rate of 1 teaspoon (~5 mL) per 50 gallons of water (equivalent to 1 fl. oz. / ~29.5 mL per 300 gallons).

Pre-Treatment

Begin with a 25% (or larger) water change, conditioning the new water with a product that removes ammonia, chlorine, and chloramines (such as Hikari Ultimate® or ClorAm-X® plus Stress-X™).

Filtration During Treatment

Remove activated carbon, turn off ultraviolet (UV) sterilization, and turn off protein skimmers (foam fractionators) for the duration of treatment so the active ingredient is not removed from the water. Other filtration should continue running.

Treatment Duration & Re-Dose

Re-dose every 7 days for a minimum of 21 uninterrupted days. If a re-dose is missed, restart the entire treatment regimen from the beginning. Perform a water change before each re-dose to restore oxygen and reduce pathogens.

Contraindications

• Do not use in any system that contains crayfishes, shrimp, or other crustaceans — CyroPro™ targets crustacean parasites and will harm these species.
• Avoid sulfur- or sulfinite-based water conditioners during treatment; they may reduce effectiveness and lower dissolved oxygen.
• For aquarium and ornamental pond use only — not for human or veterinary medical use, and not for fish raised for human consumption.
• Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid ingestion. Keep out of reach of children.

Safety note: per Hikari, CyroPro™ is safe for use on fishes, reptiles (e.g., turtles), amphibians (e.g., tadpoles, frogs), and mollusks (e.g., snails) when used as directed.
