When to Feed

Saki Hikari Multi Season is particularly useful during spring and fall, when water temperatures can fluctuate and koi may not be ready for a specialized warm or coldseason diet.

Feed when your koi are actively swimming and showing a strong feeding response. As water temperatures fall, koi naturally become less active and require less food. Reduce the amount and frequency of feeding accordingly.

Avoid feeding if koi are inactive or are not readily eating the food. Always allow water temperature and koi activity to guide your feeding routine.

How to Feed

Feed small amounts that your koi can completely consume within a few minutes. It is better to offer several smaller meals than one large feeding, particularly when temperatures are moderate or changing.

As a general guide:

• Warm, active conditions: Feed 2–4 times per day, adjusting the quantity to appetite and activity.

• Cooler conditions: Reduce feeding frequency and quantity as koi become less active.
