Is the Pond Tracker free?
Yes. You need a free Play It Koi account, and you don't need to have ordered from us.
Can I try it before I sign in?
Yes. Open the sample pond to look around a pond, its koi and their records. Nothing in it is saved, so sign in when you're ready to start your own.
Do I need a password?
No. Sign in with your email and we send you a 6-digit code.
Is it in the App Store or Google Play?
No, and you don't need either. Open the Pond Tracker on your phone and add it to your home screen. It opens full screen, like any app.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, and on computers and tablets too. Phone notifications need iOS 16.4 or later on an iPhone.
Will it remind me when something is due?
Yes. Home lists everything due today or overdue. In the phone app, turn on notifications to get one on days when something is due, and one at each feeding time you set.
What can I log in a water test?
Temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, KH, GH and salt, with notes. Pick any of them to see it on a chart.
Does it work with my test kit?
Yes. Type in the numbers from any kit. With an API Pond Master kit, you can tap the value that matches the color card instead.
Where are my records saved?
In your Play It Koi account, so they show on any phone, computer or browser where you sign in. You can download a backup of everything, photos included, at any time, and delete all your records from Settings.
Can I track more than one pond?
Yes. Add each pond or tank you keep, with its own koi, tests and reminders.
Can I stop the feeding reminders over winter?
Yes. Pause feeding reminders in Settings, and your feeding times are kept for when you resume.
Can it help me plan a new pond?
Use the free Pond Planner to design it. Once it's built, add it to the Pond Tracker to look after it.
