NishikigoiUV Amalgam Pond UV Clarifier

The NishikigoiUV is GC Tek's premium amalgam UV clarifier line: serious, long-lasting hardware built to keep koi ponds and water gardens crystal clear. Where most pond UV units use a plastic body and standard or high-output (HO) lamps, every NishikigoiUV is built from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and driven by amalgam lamps that put out roughly 2 to 5 times the clarifying power of standard UV. The result is more green-water-fighting punch from a compact, rugged unit that's made to last.

Six horizontal models cover ponds from about 5,000 to 35,000 gallons. Match the unit to your pump's flow and your pond's size using the chart below.

Why amalgam and 316 stainless?

• 316 marine-grade stainless steel vessel, not the 304 found on most "stainless" units. 316 stands up to corrosion far better, and the vessel carries a lifetime warranty (excludes rubber and consumable parts).
• Amalgam lamps put out 2 to 5 times the UV of standard or HO lamps, and they're rated for 13,000 hours (most pond UV lamps are rated around 9,000).
• Individual electronic ballast for every lamp, housed in a separate all-weather 316 stainless control box. If one ballast ever fails, the rest keep running so your pond stays clear.
• Built-in resettable LED hour meter shows exactly how many hours are on your lamps, plus an indicator light for each lamp so you can confirm they're all firing.
• Heavy-duty Schedule 80 unions included for a solid, leak-free plumbing connection.
• Easy-to-use drain with a large handle empties the unit in minutes for winterizing.

Choose your model

Sizing tip: UV works by dose. Water has to pass the lamps slowly enough to be treated, so for green-water control turn your pond's full volume through the UV at least once every 2 to 3 hours and keep your flow at or below the unit's max GPH. For heavy or stubborn algae, size up.
