Una planta magnífica con un follaje retorcido y en espiral muy curioso, muy adecuada para contenedores acuáticos y áreas pantanosas y mal drenadas; las atractivas hojas retorcidas y herbáceas del Curly Wurly Corkscrew Rush permanecen de color verde durante toda la temporada. Presenta sutiles flores marrones con brácteas y volantes en los extremos de los tallos desde principios del verano hasta principios del otoño.
