Kasco Surface Aerators

Kasco Surface Aerators dramatically push high volumes of water into the air, increasing the overall health of your pond or lake and keeping it thoroughly mixed. Introducing oxygen and water movement breaks up stratification, eliminates odor, discourages algae growth, and promotes a healthy aquatic environment. These self-contained units deliver up to 3.0 lbs of O2 per horsepower per hour of operation, making Kasco Surface Aerators among the most dependable and efficient units on the market. Available in 1/2 HP through 5 HP for ponds, lakes, golf-course water hazards, fish farms, wastewater treatment, and commercial installations.

Sizing Guidance

Choose your HP based on water surface area, depth, and the aeration goal (cosmetic versus full water-column mixing):

• 1/2 HP — small backyard ponds up to 1/4 acre with depths under 8 ft
• 3/4 HP — ponds up to 1/2 acre, lake coves, golf-course water hazards
• 1 HP — ponds up to 1 acre, small lakes, fish-farm troughs
• 2 HP — lakes 1–2 acres, commercial fish farms, larger golf-course ponds
• 3 HP — lakes 2–3 acres, wastewater lagoons, industrial cooling ponds
• 5 HP — lakes 3–5+ acres, wastewater treatment, commercial aquaculture, mine tailings

Cord length should reach from the aerator location to the nearest GFCI-protected outlet without splices or extension cords. Always install on a GFCI-protected circuit. For installations beyond 200 feet from shore, consider 208-240V single-phase or 3-phase units to minimize voltage drop.
