Las flores de color morado oscuro y fragantes de Midnight tienen casi 100 pétalos y pueden alcanzar los 20 cm de diámetro. Florece muy bien y las hojas de nenúfar son de un verde brillante. Es una buena opción para jardines acuáticos de cualquier tamaño. No es vivípara y florece muy libremente. Tiene una fragancia suave y se extiende entre 1,20 y 1,50 m de diámetro. Requiere pleno sol y profundidades de agua de entre 30 y 75 cm. Se recomienda para las zonas 10 y 11.
