Why Use Filter Socks?
Filter socks are typically placed at the sump inlet to trap debris before it can circulate through the system. They also prevent small fish, snails, and other critters from entering pumps and getting injured.
To maintain optimal performance and prevent organic buildup from breaking down into ammonia and other toxins, socks should be cleaned or replaced every 3 days or as needed.
