After You Order: What Happens Next

Upon Arrival: What to Expect

Your koi will arrive in a temperature-controlled box. Please open immediately and begin your acclimation protocol.

We strongly recommend a separate quarantine tank with stable, aerated water and no medication for the first 48 hours unless otherwise instructed. *Quarantine Accessories".

Timing is Everything

We ship koi as late in the day as possible to arrive early the next morning—minimizing travel time and stress on your koi.

Shipping takes 1-2 days for anything east of the rocky mountains. Anything west of that can be shipped next day. All airport cargo shipments will be coordinated by the team at Kodama Koi Farm, which will provide precise pickup times and handling instructions.

To ensure your koi arrives safely and in top condition, please allow two weeks notice before shipping. This gives Kodama Koi Farm's experienced team time to stop feeding and carefully prepare your koi for the journey. They’ll consider your koi’s health, water temperature, and transit time to make sure everything is just right for a safe and smooth delivery.
