Description

The AlphaONE 6.0 WattMizer PLUS System is a complete koi pond filtration system for ponds up to 17,000 gallons, combining an AlphaONE 6.0 pressure filter, an energy-efficient Artesian2 pump, and the NishikigoiUV-HD160 amalgam UV clarifier. GC Tek builds and glues the entire system at their facility and numbers every union, then disassembles it into labeled, pre-fitted sections and ships them in separate boxes so it travels safely by freight. Reassembly is simple: set the pieces on your pads, match the numbered unions (1 to 1, 2 to 2), hand-tighten, and connect to your pond. The hard plumbing is already done for you.

Freight Shipping Notice: GCTek systems are built to order and are not eligible for order discounts. Fulfillment timing varies with current order volume. This system ships by freight, which extends delivery time and requires someone present at delivery. The trucking company will call to schedule an appointment.

Hook up is simple: every connection uses hand-tightened quick-disconnect unions, so future service never means cutting pipe. This system now comes standard with the NishikigoiUV Amalgam UV Clarifier (the NishikigoiUV-HD160), our new standard for clear, healthy water. It replaces the older ZapPRO and Zapp Pure units used on earlier builds.

Why the NishikigoiUV Amalgam Clarifier

Amalgam lamp technology produces far more usable UV than a conventional clarifier lamp, so the same unit clears more water in less time. The lamp runs up to roughly 13,000 hours between changes, and the housing is marine-grade 316 stainless steel built to last in a pond environment. On this system it is plumbed into the return line, the last stop before clean water heads back to your pond.

How It Compares

The WattMizer PLUS is our all-in-one standard. Want dual prefiltration for separate bottom-drain and skimmer circuits? Step up to the WattMizer PLUS PRO. Watching the budget? The KoiKeeper pairs the same bead filter and UV with an energy-sipping Low RPM pump. Every model lets you choose AlphaONE or AlphaNANO media.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size pond is the AlphaONE 6.0 PLUS system for?
Ponds up to 17,000 gallons, carrying up to about 300 pounds of fish fed at 1% of body weight.

Which UV clarifier is included?
The NishikigoiUV-HD160 Amalgam clarifier, the new standard that replaces the older ZapPRO and Zapp Pure units. Amalgam lamp technology gives higher UV output and up to roughly 13,000 hours of lamp life in a 316 stainless steel housing.

Do I need a separate prefilter?
It is optional but recommended. Adding an AquaSieve2 or AquaSieve SS in front of the pump removes solids early, protects the pump, and lengthens the time between backwashes.

How hard is the installation?
The system arrives pre-plumbed on its pads. You connect the inlet from your pond, the return line back to the pond, and a waste line from the multiport valve. Unions are hand-tightened, so no cutting or gluing pipe.

How often does it need cleaning?
A backwash takes about three minutes per week, with no dirty hands in the process.

How does it ship?
It is built to order and ships by freight. The carrier calls to schedule an appointment, and someone needs to be present to receive it.
