Flow Rate (GPH) by Wattage
| Wattage | Max GPH (Clarification, ~30,000 µW/cm²) — green-water control | Min GPH (Sterilization, ~90,000 µW/cm²) — parasite + bacteria kill |
|---|---|---|
| 8 W (Advantage 2000) | 642 GPH | 214 GPH |
| 15 W (Advantage 2000+) | 700 GPH | 233 GPH |
Sizing rule: divide your filtered circulation rate (GPH) by the column you need. Pick a unit whose Max GPH ≥ your circulation rate to achieve clarification dose; pick a unit whose Min GPH ≥ your circulation rate to achieve full sterilization dose at that flow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Advantage 2000 vs 2000+ — what's the difference?
Advantage 2000 = 8 W. Advantage 2000+ = 15 W. The '+' designation indicates the higher-output variant. Same chassis, different lamp.
Hanger vs inline — which?
Hanger spout attaches to the side of a pre-formed pond or hardscape with no plumbing — water exits a built-in spout. Inline goes between pump and return, hidden in equipment housing.
