Description
This hardy hibiscus produces enormous, rose-red, flared trumpets, sporting massive stamens, which appear in mid summer each year. Although in its home in Florida it grows in wet, marshy places,it will thrive in colder climate with well drained soil. Grow it in full sun to part shade, in medium to wet soil that stays moist through the growing season, such as along the edge of a pond or stream. Plants grow 3 to 8 feet tall.
