Kasco Pond De-Icer

By pushing warmer water up, Kasco's De-icers create an opening at the water's surface, keeping boats and docks safe from damaging ice buildup. Kasco's De-icers create more thrust than any other product on the market — more thrust means more open water to better protect your in-water property. They also help keep fish and aquatic species healthy throughout the winter by allowing for open areas where oxygen can enter the water and toxic gases can escape.

Sizing Guidance

Choose your HP based on the size of the area you need to keep open and the typical winter conditions in your region:

• 1/2 HP — single-boat slips, small private docks, koi ponds, milder winter zones (USDA 6 and warmer)
• 3/4 HP — multi-slip residential docks, mid-size marinas, moderate winter zones (USDA 5)
• 1 HP — commercial marinas, larger docks, harsh winter zones (USDA 4 and colder)

Cord length should be sized to reach from the de-icer location to the nearest GFCI-protected outlet without splices or extension cords. Always install on a GFCI-protected circuit.
