Using the auxiliary inlet

Want one pump to draw from two spots at once? That is what the adjustable auxiliary inlet is for. Connect a compatible skimmer or a second suction point to it, and your filter picks up debris from more of the pond while circulation improves. Using it is optional.

Placement and noise

Fully submerged, the EP can lie flat or stand upright, whichever suits your pond. If you spend time beside the water, you will appreciate that it runs quietly with little vibration.

How SMARTMAG protects the motor

The pump soft-starts, and if something jams the impeller it cuts power for three seconds and tries to restart, up to three times. Still blocked after that, it sits in a low-power state until you switch it off and clear it. That helps keep a stalled impeller from burning out the motor.

Maintenance

The impeller is the only moving part, and you need no special tools to reach it. The motor and electrical parts are encapsulated in epoxy resin, and pond water cools and lubricates the bearing and shaft, so there is no oil or grease to deal with.
