Nelumbo nucifera — bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Delicate, graceful beauty! The perfect miniature!
Excellent for pots 6-8" in diameter. One of the smallest lotus we grow, 'Pure Girl' is classified as a exquisite of bowl lotus and has a lovely pure white flower made unique by the green tips sometimes found on the inner petals. The plant often has multiple buds, blooms and seed pods. The dark green leaves of the mature plant are only a few inches in diameter and can be dramatically effected by changing the pot size. We suggest using the pot-in-pot method when growing in pots less than 8" wide - see below.

As a bowl lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered. Pot size, soil and the rest of the method are in the lotus planting instructions.
