How to Get the Best Results from Saki-Hikari®
Saki Hikari works best when fed continuously as your koi’s exclusive daily diet. The benefits of Hikari Germ are only maintained with regular, uninterrupted feeding. Feeding Saki Hikari occasionally or mixing it with other foods will not provide the full benefits.
For the best results, use Saki Hikari Growth when your water temperature is consistently above 68°F. Keep in mind that active koi need more nutrition, while colder water temperatures require less feeding.
Use the following guidelines as a starting point and adjust feeding based on your koi’s activity and pond conditions. Always avoid overfeeding, and remove any uneaten food after feeding.
Above 68°F
Feed Saki Hikari Growth 2–4 times per day, depending on the activity level of your koi.
Below 68°F
Reduce the amount you feed based on your koi’s activity and pond conditions. For colder or changing temperatures, Saki Hikari Multi Season is an excellent choice. Its digestive properties make it better suited for water temperatures that are too cold or inconsistent for other Saki Hikari diets.
