Description
Common Name: Variegated Cattail
Plant Description Name: Typha latifolia "Variegated Cattail"
A striking cousin of the common cattail without the aggressiveness. One of the first plant to emerge from winter with nice variegation to wake up your water garden. Striking green leaves with vertical green and white stripes then produce greenish flower spikes that form cigar-shaped brown seed heads(Sterile) that are popular for dried arrangements. Although not as aggressive as the common cattail we do recommend to leave in pots then submerge in a pond or water feature. Zone 5-10
