Limited Time & Limited Quantities: Lotus are harvested during winter dormancy and shipped bare root, March 15 - Early May Only. Orders ship Mon-Wed of each week and are weather-dependent. Please allow extra delivery time if the order is placed Wed-Sun or during extreme temperatures.

Description
Nelumbo nucifera — large pond lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Grown from wild seed sent to me by a friend in India, this gorgeous lotus is something special! Sumptuous pink petals form a large flower that stays pretty pink until the petals fall. India's Double Beauty is early sending out leaves and one of the first to bloom here at the nursery. We are excited to offer this lovely new addition, especially for our Indian friends. We hope it reminds you of home!

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
