Description
The Aqua Ultraviolet Ultima II is a self-cleaning, multi-port-valve pond filter that has set the performance standard for pressurized pond filtration since 1999. The patented multi-port valve handles Filter / Backwash / Rinse / Recirculate / Closed positions with a single key-handle turn — making routine media cleaning as easy as cycling the valve and letting the dirty water exit through the waste line. Available in 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 / 6,000 / 10,000 / 20,000 / 30,000 / 60,000 gallon-class sizes with 1-1/2", 2", or 3" Side Mount Port options. Built in Temecula, California with a 5-year warranty on the filter body.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I size an Ultima II for my pond?
The model number = approximate gallons. An Ultima II 6,000 handles a 6,000 gallon pond at typical koi load. Heavily-stocked koi or commercial systems should size up by one model.
What's the difference between 2" Top Mount and 3" Side Mount?
Side Mount uses a side-port valve geometry that lowers head loss on larger systems. Side Mount is standard from the 30,000 size up; Top Mount is available on 1,000 → 30,000 sizes.
Does the Ultima II replace my pond's biological filter?
It can. The bead media provides both mechanical particulate filtration AND biological surface area for nitrifying bacteria. Many installations use the Ultima II as the primary biofilter.
How often do I backwash?
Watch the pressure gauge — backwash when pressure rises 3-5 PSI above the clean operating baseline. Typical interval: weekly during heavy summer feeding, monthly in cooler seasons.
