Description
The Blue Thumb Elite Cascade Falls is the spillway box for a pondless waterfall. It comes with a detachable weir, a black Matala diffuser mat that spreads the water evenly across the weir, the mounting hardware, and a landscape lid that hides the box.
Cover the lid with mulch, rocks or aquatic plants and the water seems to spill straight out of the garden bed. The octagonal body is stiffened with ribs and gussets, so it keeps its shape for years.
Two intake ports let you plumb in a second pump or use one port as a back-flush outlet. The weir is reversible, which gives you more ways to set it into your rockwork. The spin-weld fittings come installed at the factory, so there are no bulkheads to seal, and the hardware is marine-grade stainless steel.
The Matala mat evens out the flow; it isn't there to filter the water. If you want filtration at the top of your falls, look at our waterfall filters, which are a filter and a spillway in one box. Replacement mats for every size are sold separately: Matala mats for the Elite Cascade Falls.
