Blue Thumb Muck Buster

Blue Thumb Muck Buster is a natural pond muck-and-sludge eliminator that combines activated barley, beneficial bacteria, enzymes, and Blue Thumb's proprietary blend to break down dead organic debris that has settled at the pond bottom, in fountain basins, in Formal Falls® basins, in pondless waterfall reservoirs, and along waterfalls and streams. The bacteria + enzyme blend digests the muck (rather than masking it), reduces odor, and is safe for all aquatic life — fish, plants, and amphibians.

For best results, pair Muck Buster with Blue Thumb Pond Cleaner™: Muck Buster digests the settled bottom debris while Pond Cleaner clears suspended particles in the water column. Available in five sizes covering 4,000 gallon basins up to 200,000 gallon ponds, plus a tablet form for fountain basins and small water features where powder dosing isn't practical.

Application Rates

• Powder dosing: 1 oz (~1 scoop) treats 500 gallons; 2 oz treats 1,000 gallons; 4 oz treats 2,000 gallons.
• Tablet dosing (fountain basins): 1 tablet every two weeks for fountain basins under 100 gallons; 2 tablets for 200–400 gallon basins. Use opposite to Algae D-Solv® treatment cycle.
• Pond size calculation: Length × Width × Avg. Depth × 7.48 = gallons.
