Description
OEM replacement Matala® filter mats for Blue Thumb pond skimmer filters. The Matala mat is the second filtration stage downstream of the leaf-debris net — once the mesh net catches the larger leaves and sticks, the green Matala mat polishes finer suspended particles and gives nitrifying bacteria a substrate to colonize. Replace the mat each season (or whenever it begins to clog and reduce skimmer flow) to keep your pond's mechanical filtration running clean.
