Description
The Cetus Sieve is a self-adjusting filter that can be installed in either a gravity-fed or pump-fed system. It removes larger size waste and debris from pond water before it reaches your main filter. This is known as pre-filtering.
The Cetus Sieve can also be used as a stand-alone unit with a surface skimmer to remove leaves and other floating debris from your pond. It efficiently removes large amounts of mechanical waste, helping to keep your pond cleaner.
The Cetus Sieve is compatible with all types of filtration systems and is an ideal pre-filter for the Evolution Aqua Nexus range. In gravity-fed systems, the adjustable weir automatically adapts to your pump's flow rate, with a maximum flow rate of 4,755 US Gallons/Hr.
Using the Cetus Sieve before a mechanical or biological filter can extend the time between filter cleanings. By removing waste and organic matter first, it also helps improve biological filtration by reducing the amount of material that would otherwise consume oxygen and release ammonia and other unwanted compounds into the water.
