'Red Xibeipo' is our favorite of this magnificent series of brilliant red lotus. We prefer the wide petals and wide-open flower which makes it visually exciting every time! However, it is a little more difficult to grow than the others in this series so beware! Once it gets a good start it blooms very well!

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
