The EazyPod Automatic filtration systems take pond filtration to the next level, combining powerful mechanical and biological filtration with the convenience of fully automatic, low-maintenance cleaning.

At the heart of the system is K1 Micro media, which provides an excellent surface for beneficial bacteria to colonize. This means the EazyPod can deliver effective biological filtration even when it is being used primarily as a mechanical waste filter.

How Does the EazyPod Automatic Work?

Pond water enters the EazyPod through the inlet and, on the EazyPod UV Automatic model, flows around the optional 18-watt UV Clarifier. The water then travels around the outer chamber, where it passes through a stainless-steel grill. This removes many of the larger solids, which settle at the bottom of the outer chamber.

The partially filtered water then enters the central chamber, where finer waste particles are captured within the K1 Micro media. At the same time, beneficial biofilm develops on the protected surfaces of the K1 Micro, providing continuous biological filtration.

Once filtered, the clean water rises through the central chamber, overflows into the inner return pipe, and flows back to the pond through the outlet.

Automatic Cleaning — Without the Effort

The real advantage of the EazyPod Automatic is its built-in self cleaning system. An integrated control box with an adjustable timer allows you to schedule cleaning automatically, so the filter can take care of itself even when you're away.

The system is factory set to clean every three days, but the cleaning schedule can be adjusted to suit your pond and filtration needs.

When a cleaning cycle begins, the electronic controller activates the included air pump and automated waste valve. The air pump vigorously agitates the K1 Micro media, loosening trapped dirt, debris, and waste. At the same time, the automated waste valve opens, allowing the dirty water and released waste to be discharged through the 1.5 inch waste outlet.

The result is a filtration system that not only keeps your pond water clean and clear but also dramatically reduces the time and effort normally required for routine filter maintenance.
