Description
Nelumbo nucifera ‘Jinqui’ — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
'Golden Autumn' is a wonderful extra-light yellow lotus which blooms early and often. The green petaloids sometimes found on early spring blooms stand in stark contrast to the yellow petals. Later in the summer a green receptacle offers the same beautiful color to the flower. Although best grown in a pot 16" or wider, 'Golden Autumn' can also be grown in a small pot. It will bloom beautifully in a 10-12" diameter pot.

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
