Description
The Hiblow Precision Airflow Control Manifold splits the air line from your pump into two or three diffuser lines. Each outlet has a gate valve with a handwheel that opens and closes gradually, so you can make small adjustments until every diffuser bubbles evenly. Many air manifolds use quarter-turn ball valves, which go from open to closed in a quarter turn and are hard to set anywhere in between.
A separate blowout valve at the end of the manifold drains condensation. Water collects in air lines, especially when the pump sits far from the pond, and as it builds up it raises system pressure, cuts airflow and makes the pump work harder. To clear it, close the gate valves and open the blowout valve.
Details
- 2-valve or 3-valve versions
- Gate valves with 1/2 inch outlet barbs for 1/2 inch ID weighted airline
- Condensation blowout valve
- 3/4 inch PVC female adapter installed on the inlet. Also in the box: a 1 inch PVC female adapter, a 3/4 inch OD barb and a stepped straight hose (5/8 to 1 inch)
Setup notes
- Mount the manifold tilted slightly down toward the blowout valve so water collects there.
- Air takes the easiest path, so without adjustment most of it goes to the shallowest diffuser. Leave the valve for the deepest diffuser fully open, then adjust the others one at a time from deepest to shallowest until the bubbles look even.
- The outlet barbs unscrew if your tubing needs a different size (sold separately). Use one layer of Teflon tape on the threads.
Warranty: 12 months from Hiblow USA.
