Description

OASE Lake Therapy SeDox is a mineral-based phosphorus binder that addresses eutrophication — the slow decline of water quality from nutrient loading — by permanently removing phosphate from the water column. Through the natural formation of apatite, SeDox eliminates phosphorus as a nutrient source while simultaneously releasing oxygen and balancing pH. Each 50 lb bag binds approximately 1 lb of phosphate.

What It Treats

  • Excess phosphorus and nutrient loading in lakes and ponds
  • Algal blooms fueled by free phosphate
  • Early and advanced stages of eutrophication
  • Low dissolved oxygen tied to nutrient overload

How To Apply

  • Dry or slurry application (slurry is preferred for even distribution)
  • Apply evenly across the water surface of the body of water
  • Treatment rate: 50 lbs binds ~1 lb of phosphate — match dose to measured phosphate load
  • Repeat as needed based on water testing; effects are long-lasting per application

Key Features

  • Permanent phosphate binding — apatite formation locks phosphate away as an inert mineral
  • Releases oxygen as it reacts, helping balance pH and benefit aquatic life
  • No heavy metals, no aluminum, no residue — mineral-based and safe for fish and wildlife
  • Commercial-grade — used by lake management professionals for restoring fisheries and recreational ponds
  • Alternative to alum — avoids aluminum buildup and pH crashes associated with traditional alum treatments

✅ Safe for fish, wildlife, and aquatic plants. Leaves no residues or inert materials behind.
