Parasite- S (formalin)

Syndel Parasite-S® (Formalin) is an aquaculture-approved treatment formulated for use on both fish and fish eggs. It is an approved parasiticide designed to help control external parasites across finfish (and penaeid shrimp) and to control fungus on finfish eggs and freshwater-reared finfish.

Parasite-S® is manufactured in FDA and Health Canada approved and inspected production facilities, providing consistent quality for professional fish health and hatchery programs.

Because formalin treatments require correct use and handling, Syndel recommends reviewing product directions and safety documentation prior to use and consulting a fish health professional if needed.

Cold Weather Shipping Warning (Important)

Parasite-S® is temperature sensitive and must not be allowed to reach temperatures below 40°F (4.4°C). Exposure below this temperature can cause formation of paraformaldehyde, which Syndel states is toxic to fish.

Safety & Handling (Important)

Syndel lists formalin as a combustible, carcinogenic, toxic substance, and indicates vapor exposure can cause severe respiratory irritation. Proper PPE and safe handling procedures are required.
