Description
UltraClear Super Strength Treatment is designed for clarifying ponds with severe water quality issues. Mats of long filaments and scum that float on the pond surface are the source of pond clarity problems. These mats often break apart quite easily, which means that they may sometimes be difficult to remove with a net. Break-up and decay also cause undesirable suspended solids that can't be easily removed from the water. UltraClear SST is enriched with several types of beneficial, safe, non-pathogenic bacteria. These natural clarifiers consume nutrients that cause undesirable growth, attacking cloudy water at the source! UltraClear SST contains the following:
- Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, which degrades starches and carbohydrates
- Bacillus subtilis, which degrades starches, proteins, and fats
- Bacillus licheniformis, which converts nitrate to nitrogen gas
- Cellulomonas biazotea, which digests cellulose
Why is SST Better than Competing Products?
Competing products are generally in a freeze-dried form. Freeze drying actually kills or inactivates many of the desirable bacteria. In fact, 50% or more of desirable bacteria are rendered inactive by the freeze-drying process. Plus, when using a freeze-dried product, you must dissolve the powder in warm water and attempt to reactivate the product before use. In contrast, UltraClear provides a liquid formulation. Virtually 100% of the bacteria in the liquid-based SST remain viable and active for one full year after purchase. SST does not require a separate reactivation stage, so using it saves time and energy.
How Safe is SST?
The bacterial species included in SST are recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) as Biosafety Level 1 bacteria, defined as having "no known potential to cause disease in humans or animals."

Dosage Instructions
Mix into a gallon of pond water, mix well, and distribute around the pond. Apply greater amounts of product to areas with worst conditions. Generally, use 1 ounce for every 150 gallons of pond water. You cannot harm your pond by overdosing. But remember that all biological solutions take more time to show results than would chemical techniques. By following the dosage guidelines below, you will achieve rapid results without wasting product.
Desired Treatment | Frequency | Treatment Notes |
