Aim lights at focal points rather than flooding the entire area with even illumination. A single spotlight on a waterfall face or statue creates far more drama than ten lights scattered randomly. For koi viewing, place submersible lights along the pond edge angled slightly toward the center — this illuminates fish as they swim past without glare.
