Description
Nelumbo nucifera — dwarf lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Named hybrid. An ethereal beauty of white purity with a kiss of pink sweetness.
We are delighted to introduce 'Jillian, Neshama Sheli', an endearment which translates to 'Jillian, my heart'. After several years of testing, its unfailing beauty still takes our breath away every time it blooms. The purity of the white petals are sweetly brushed with just a hint of pink and green. The medium height plant is always full and has a lovely mounding shape. The wide petals feature very distinct stripes on the freshly unfurled and perfectly cup-shaped flower.

As a dwarf lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
