Big round baseball size tubers are a bit differently shaped than the tubers of most common vegetable varieties but they are just as delicious! The flowers are white but like most vegetable varieties this lotus doesn't bloom often since all the energy is directed to producing tubers. The large, deep green leaves are beautiful, though, so this plant serves double duty "” it is picturesque as well as good food!
