Description
Nelumbo nucifera — medium lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Everything about this new lotus is Sweet so what better name than Sugar Sweet! Medium in size with a rich pink color, it blooms its little heart out all summer long. This variety was grown from an Autumn in Moling seed but could not be more different that its pod parent! Sugar Sweet is clear pink single-petal lotus that is perfect in a standard lotus pot (16" wide, 7" deep) but will also grow and bloom in a much smaller pot (10" wide, 6" deep).

As a medium lotus, this one settles at 6 to 18 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
