How to Plant & Care for Lotus
Description
Nelumbo nucifera 'Xiao Ling' (小灵), bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Xiao Ling means roughly "little spirit." It's a small lotus with creamy white petals that warm to pale yellow at the base, opening around a bright green seedpod ringed with curling gold-orange stamens.
The petals open broadly but not evenly. Some fold, some flare, so each bloom sits a little differently. Against the green leaves, the white petals and gold center stand out more than you'd expect from a flower this size.
