Description
A stunning golden-yellow water iris with elegant brown veining and a distinctive dark crescent-shaped signal on the falls. 'Roy Davidson' is a sterile interspecific hybrid, meaning it delivers all the beauty of a classic yellow pond iris without the aggressive spreading you get from wild species. The blooms last up to three days per flower (most yellow water irises only manage one), and the glossy, sword-like foliage stays attractive well beyond the bloom window.
This early bloomer brings vibrant color to your pond margins in late spring, and in mild climates the foliage stays evergreen year-round. Plant in full sun with the rhizome submerged in up to 4" of water for best results.
