Description
Nelumbo nucifera — bowl lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Everybody's favorite little lotus. This is a unique lotus! Different from the normal pointed petal of a lotus, pink picotee petals with big rounded edges are characteristic of 'Pink Butterfly'. The center petals usually have a ruffled edge and are often green on the first day. The plate-like form of the fully open lotus gives it a distinctive visual presence. It is a low-growing lotus, has a more horizontal habit and likes short, wide pots and shallow water. It is absolutely perfect on a patio table or use it in front of a taller lotus for added dimension! 'Pink Butterfly' has the added attraction of being one of the easiest lotus to grow--it is an all-around winner!
