Description
Nelumbo nucifera — dwarf lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
Jiao Ke Wan Lian. 'Respected Guest' is small lotus with a BIG flower. The broad petalled, classic, single flower is solid pink on the first day but soon gives way to become a lovely bi-color flower with petals that are white in the center and sweetly pink on the tips. This variety is one of the first varieties we grew and we keep it because it is one of the best!

As a dwarf lotus, this one settles at 2 to 12 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
