Description
Nelumbo nucifera ‘Edible Rhizomes’ — large pond lotus, shipped as a dormant lotus tuber.
We're bringing back 'Snow Beauty', a lovely lotus that has pure white color and a graceful shape. The large-growing lotus is so beautiful with its huge flowers and golden-green receptacles surrounded by orange stamen with milky white tips! If all that is not enough you get the bonus of very large edible tubers when harvested in late fall or winter.

As a large pond lotus, this one settles at 12 to 24 inches of water over the crown once established — start a new tuber under 2 to 4 inches and raise the level as it pushes aerial leaves, with the growing tip left uncovered.
