If you need to brighten up your perennial border, 'Firecracker' will provide the necessary punch. The new growth and lance-shaped leaves of this upright Loosestrife are bright burgundy-red, and although they become more muted during the summer, the leaves retain a burgundy glow throughout the season. 'Firecracker' is a very low maintenance plant. Starry, 1in, yellow flowers with faint reddish veins appear in mid-summer (June - August typically).

Hardiness Zone 4-9

Full shade to Partial Sun

Moist, Well-drained soil

Foliage color: Red burgundy

Very pleased!

These arrived promptly & packaged well. Undamaged, looking healthy and are continuing to thrive by my small pond. Looking forward to seeing some aquatic flowers later this summer!

Hardy little plant

The shipment was quick and done with care. The plants were beautiful and healthy when they arrived. I separated them in different areas near my pond and shaded areas. After several days and even some cold nights they all appear to be happy and going strong.
